First of all, I hope you and your family are doing well. I miss seeing you each day and am looking forward to having us all back together. Right now, we are planning to return on April 20 after our Spring Break. We will continue to monitor the situation and communicate with you any changes to this plan.
I have heard from your teachers about how hard many of you are working on your lessons; I am so proud of you for continuing your learning in this extraordinary situation. I am very grateful for the teachers who continue to provide quality lessons so that you continue to grow.
If you’re struggling with eLearning, here are some helpful tips:
Establish a daily routine - keep your sleep hours the same as if you were coming to school.
Eat breakfast at the regular time - don’t skip it.
Set up a designated workspace such as a desk or a dining room table; somewhere you have to physically move to.
Eliminate distractions - turn your phone off for a while if possible.
Take breaks; move around if you get distracted or are having trouble focusing on your work.
If you are confused or need assistance with your lessons, don’t hesitate to reach out to your teachers. We are all still here for you.
Here are a couple of reminders:
Parents, please don’t forget to contact Mrs. King if your child is going to be absent on a school day.
Ms. Stahl has posted lessons on College/Career Exploration Curriculum on Naviance so don’t forget to check this out.
Please send me your video clips as part of our group movie; simply create a brief video message to the community using the idea of Guerin Prep Strong - You Got This!
Your video can be funny, inspirational, etc. Of course, it must be appropriate.
While we are separated by distance, we are still a community. Each day I pray for all of our students, teachers, staff, and families. So keep up the good work! I know the Guerin Prep community is strong. You Got This!
