The Sullivan program at Guerin Prep was a unique experience that allowed students to discover the most successful way for them to be successful academically. Under the direction of Ms. Angel Blackwell, Director of the Sullivan Program, students received extra support to learn to create presentations, conquer public speaking anxiety, collaborate on projects, learn to self-advocate, and more!
Students in the Sullivan Program may have an IEP or similar educational plan which we evaluate prior to admission into Guerin Prep to ensure that we can provide an academic environment in which the student can thrive.
THE SULLIVAN PROGRAM honors Sr. Marie Ellen Sullivan, SP, Principal of Mother Theodore Guerin High School, 1975-1987, for her commitment to all students, especially those needing academic support. Her reminder, “Be where you should be, when you should be, doing what you should be doing,” was a motto that influenced the culture at Guerin Prep long after her retirement.
